The growth in popularity of pork has led to large-scale regeneration of commercially produced hogs, often leading to a loss in quality. Much of the pork you see is dry… and rather bland. Sometimes commercial producers compensate for that dryness and lack of flavor by pumping a saline solution into their product, as much as 2%.

At Oppenheimer we stock only the highest quality prime pork, which (like prime beef) is well marbled and range-raised, keeping it tender, tasty and juicy. We rely on natural pork producers, like Niman Ranch of California, Prairie Grove of Iowa and others to provide us with fresh pork from traditionally-raised, well-fed hogs. When available, we can get pork from local and regional farms.

All-natural pork is a different experience. Whether it’s chops on the grill, seared boneless loin, a regal roast rack of ribs or a ham for the holidays, you will taste the difference immediately.

People are particular about their veal. With all the controversy over the past decade about how these animals are raised, we pride ourselves on supplying you with the best naturally raised product available.

We carry only humanely-raised veal from free-roaming calves. No stimulants, no antibiotics, no added hormones. Hand-selected, prime quality and, as always, cut to your order.

Thick, juicy loin ‘T-bone” chops, thin and versatile scallopine cutlets, classic shanks for osso buco, moist and meaty shoulder and loin roasts, succulent breasts of veal for stuffing. And, for the most discerning customer, veal raised on mother’s milk can be special ordered in a day or two.
