“Provisions”? If you think that sounds like something out of a movie western… you’re not half wrong. The term implies those items that you would want to have on hand all the time. You might come in for ground beef, lamb chops or halibut fillets, but while you’re here you could very well pick up a dozen eggs, the bacon to go with them, some chicken stock, butter… foods for the “larder.”

As part of this tradition, we’ve proudly carried the fine products of Karl Ehmer Meats for decades. Classic German-style sausages, slab bacon (sliced to your order), cured and smoked meats, our famous “a-slice-for-the-kids"… mmmm, mmmm, mmmm.

We’ve also brought on several new producers in this category. Niman Ranch Natural Pork products (fantastic natural-casing hot dogs), Nodine’s Smokehouse (outrageous Cajun-style tasso and andouille sausage), Hebrew National (Kosher hot dogs and knockwurst) and Schaller & Weber (double-smoked bacon and outrageous fresh butter!)

We always have farm-fresh eggs from The Country Hen and other free-range producers, a wide range of deli meats and cheeses, sweet creamery butter, homemade stocks, plus specialty grocery items such as spices, bread crumbs, sauces, marinades and condiments.

And soon, in addition to our house-roasted beef and turkey breast, we’ll be adding what will have to be the best rotisserie chicken in the neighborhood!
